Cleveland (Carmona) at Boston (Schilling)

Check out Joe Posnanski on what it's been like for him in his life as a Cleveland fan. I was already rooting for Cleveland (I am sick of Boston in just about every sport), but now even more so.

Wow, it finally happened, didn't it?
The Rapture came, I was left behind.

BTW, if anyone's wondering if I sent away for that mini-bat...I did.

Cleveland Fans.....
My wife's family is from Cleveland, and believe me they're the most neurotic fans I've ever met.  You'd think they wouldn't be as bad as Cubs fans (who haven't won since '08), but they're worse, much worse.  Cleveland may have had championships more recently, but they have lost so many times in post-season play, in such bizarre and heartbreaking ways, and not just in baseball but in football, as well, that they always expect their team to collapse at every moment of every game.  It's kind of sad, really.  I suppose I'll cheer for them, as an Ohioan, although it feels strange for me as a NLer (growing up always rooting for the National League).  But thanks to that used car salesman from Milwaukee, league distinctions have been pretty much obliterated, so it no longer matters.  Not only that, I'm sick of Boston, the new Yankees.

SNL Dane Cook commercial
I think this was actually kind of funny.  Since this thread isn't being used anymore, here it is:

I'm not superstitious...but I am a little stitious.
