Hey Joe
Where you going with that ball in your hand?

I'm going to brushback my ol' lady, I caught her messin' around with my only fan.

Not thrilled the rotation includes someone who was DFA'd by KC.  I'd be open to J. Weaver, at a reduced salary.  I think a secondary media market like CIN would do wonders for his performance.  A return to the NL is a must.  B. Arroyo v2.0?

Joe Mays Experiance
We ask the viewers tonight not to close their eyes and to keep them focused straight ahead. Ignoring either warning may cause riders to feel the spinning sensation, which can lead some to nausea. Hold on here ---- we--- go!!!!

the JM Experience
Is not unlike the "Hey Serafini"(Macarena) phenomenon.

Hey look at the guy in the Diamond seat behind the plate with the pink shirt and yellow shorts. 1st row.  I bet he pulls a cel before the end of the inning.

Purple Mays
All in my game
Rotation don't seem the same
Pitchin' funny
But I don't know why
Long ball, see it touch the sky

Purple Mays
All around
Don't know
If he's pitchin' up or down
Extra bases
I'm in misery
Whatever it is, that guy
Gives a game for free

Has
anybody figured out why Aurilia is still cleaning up? Kearns and Phillips at the bottom, and Ross when he plays? Narron has figured out that dunn belongs early, but the rest of the good hitters are just sort of scattered throughout the lineup.

by boobs on Jul 1, 2006 6:26 PM EDT reply actions

I like
Kearns and Phillips lower. They get more at bats as the 3-4 man of an inning than they do the 6-7 man on an inning.

the goods
The Bad Man must have photgraphs on Narron.  No other way to explain why he would hit 4th. None whatsoever.

Well, possibly a gambling debt.

Jr in July
Hopefully he has a pretty good month. If he does he could catch Reggis at 563 and move past 1600 career RBI. Pretty Awesome!

Mays is Harris
Mays looks like Harris in the ninth inning of the Major League one game playoff.

Really laboring.

Great throw by AK to save a run.

Nice arm on Kearns
Which might let us out of the inning with only 1 run damage.

49 pitches through 2. this is ugly.

The great circle of baseball...
Thank you Luke Hudson for nailing that one down and handing the Cards a loss.

by Blue on Jul 1, 2006 11:25 PM EDT reply actions

Just got back from the game...
#1. It mostly sucked.
#2. Why did Narron leave Mays in after Hafner was announced? I went "Where's Jerry? C'mon Jerry... Oh Shit. He's not coming out" to no one in particular around me. Absoulutely knew there was a slam a'comin.
#3. I was the one in the Reds hat on Main Strasse in Covington frantically hitting the "refresh" button on my cell phone as the Royals and the Cardinals duked it out in extra innings. Well, I guess, technically, the Royals were duking it out and the Cardinals were just kinda flailing around... seriously, how do you not score the winning run with the bases loaded and no outs with Luke Hudson on the mound? Amazing.
#4. Please, please, please, Eric Milton: I could really use another 8 inning, 1 run performance from you. It's going to be 93 degrees and sunny - I don't want to sit out at Great American and get burned to a crisp while you get shelled. Am I asking too much here?
#5: Only 51 comments? You guys really missed me, huh? ;)

That is all, Go Redlegs!
