the last18 games maybe that have been televised on WGN in chicago have been losses.

so fans were happy that the game wasnt on WGN so at least the cubs had a chance to win

Kearns
Didn't see the ball the entire way.  Saw it just before it hit the ground, and he made a stab at it from his knees.  Looks like the turf gave way, or he caught his leg caught underneath him.  Didn't touch the ball at all.  He stayed in the game one more out, and got a hit the bottom of the inning.  He slipped getting out of the box and gingerly jogged to first.  Milton pinch ran for him, and Freel pinch hit for the pitcher later in the inning.
