Narron needs to get a lineup together and stick with it. I understand they platoon guys at several positions which is fine; but the inconsistency of when and where guys are going to hit in the order is a big reason the Reds offense is sputtering right now. He had Dunn hitting second yesterday. That is a joke. I know people will say he has a relatively high on base percentage and strikes out alot, so Narron was trying to maximize his OBP potential and minimize his strike out potential, but come on.
So here is a proposed batting order with Aurilia playing 1B:
Phillips
Lopez
Griffey
Aurilia
Kearns
Dunn
Encarnacion
Valentine/LaRue/Ross
Pitcher
Here is my order when Hatteburg plays:
Phillips
Lopez
Griffey
Kearns
Hatteburg
Dunn
Encarnacion
Valentine/LaRue/Ross
Pitcher
Then you can plug in Freel here and there, but hit him lead off when you do.
This team is what it is, and it has proved it can hit, but Narron needs to quit tinkering. It is nearly June the time to see what we got is over. Pick and line up and let the chips fall.
