These are pictures of the replica jerseys which are now on sale taken from this diary. I'll have pictures from RedsFest whenever I find them.

Meh.
I can barely contain my excitement.
Don't mind me...just thinking positive and pitching to contact, that's all...

Yeah
That's not terribly exciting, but at least they will still look like the Reds. With the home jersey like that though, I think they should have just gone with a red wish-bone "C" wihout the "REDS" inside.

uniforms
I'm just happy they have sleeves.  I hated the sleeveless home jerseys.

The alterate jerseys...
Look just like the ones that they have worn for the last few years.  I think the home jersey looks like a white version of last years alternate jersey..

I still wish they were cool enough to make the road jersey look like the home jersey does, except in black...

I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

I've always liked solid red unis.
Loved the Sunday home jerseys - Like the spring training jerseys, just not the numbers on the front. ...eh...

winter is boooooooring

They don't look like they belong together...
The block lettering in the wishbone C on the home unis doesn't work with the number style. I like the basic look, but, mixing the fonts doesn't make sense.

And the road unis look like they are for another team entirely.

Well...
That was a little anti-climactic for me. Perhaps I'll like them more when I see them in person on Opening Day(?).

My two cents
  1. They need to lose the stupid REDS inside the wishbone logo. Go with the straight up, classic, simple wishbone, a la Detroit Tigers. Right now it just looks like a crappy 70's logo on a 1930's style uniform. Doesn't match.
  2. get rid of black. all of the dropshadows, everything.  No black-rimmed hats. You're the Reds. Not the Blacks.  Black = what unimaginative executives (John Allen) add to the uniform because they read an article that said kids like black.
All in all, it's an improvement, but it's like anything else, the devi l is in the details. Clean uniforms are great, think  Dodgers,  Football Giants, Detroit Tigers. The Cincinnati Bengals have the worst uniforms in sports.

I
was totally with you until the Bengals comment. You can't compare baseball uniforms with football uniforms. I like clean baseball logos and uniforms, but I'm fine with football uniforms being a little more splashy. I'm not a fan of the Giants or the Colts uniforms for instance, they're both a little too boring for me. But I think the Yankees, Tigers, and Dodgers all have great uniforms in baseball.

Bengals
I am a sucker for the Browns/Steelers/Penn State/Michigan/Giants old-school, clean, simple look.

Not the teams, but their uniforms.

See
I like Michigan and Penn State's uniforms too. I'm on the same page with you with most sports, but I guess I just see the NFL differently. It's such an quick moving sport, lots of rule changes every year, the parity, quick careers, etc. I just don't see the tradition there that's in other sports, so I guess I don't mind the garish uniforms as much.

The road unis are sexy except for the black bill. Nice to have sleeves on the home uni again, but not sure if I like the piping. It'll have to grow on me. Mr. Redleg is awesome.

I am a BIG fan
I especially like the big lettering and numbering on the home jerseys.

I, too, am not at all a fan of the vest...thank God they got rid of it and hooray sleeves.

Not bad
I'm relieved more than anything.

Seems like we're all over the place on opinions.  I can't stand the all-red jerseys and wish they'd cut them.  I think a little black looks good with the red and white or red and grey.  The script is a nice touch.  Did Gapper get new granny underpants?

I don't mind the mustachioed Mr. Red, but on the sleeve?  Can't they just put him on the outfield wall or something?  It makes the Reds look look much like the Pirates when they had that silly cartoonish pirate on their sleeves and hats.

Boobs
  1. I am a fan of Gapper's new granny panties.
  2. I'm not a designer, but the black and drop shadowing doesn't bother me at all.
  3. I agree that I'd like to see the "Reds" go in favor of a clean wishbone C.
  4. My favorite picture was the first one, with the Old English C on the 19th-century uni in the background. Wow, that is nice. Of course, we'd probably be accused of trying to be like the Tigers if we threw back that far, but I wouldn't be one bit upset to see that on our unis on a regular basis.
  5. Ross looks very merciful in denims.
  6. Mr. Redlegs... eh, no comment.
  7. I vote that Gapper make more appearances in big white panties.
