Griffey
Having visited Cincy earlier in the year, and seen Griffey, for the first time on his home turf, I was quite impressed with his play in the field (he made several demanding plays).
At the time his numbers were still down, suggestive that there wasn't much change in his abilities from last year. Of course he has turned those numbers around over the course of the season.
Its nice to see him once more producing as he did in the 90's. But, is this the season where he plays well, with limited injuries, only to fall back next year. Or, barring injuries, is this the man who has returned to past form, and shall remain so for maybe three years (until age diminishes his reflexes at the plate and in the field)?
As a fan of the game, I'd like to see him play well, injury free for several years. Let him play pain free, and lets see what his final numbers will be (of course no where near where they could very well have been).
The numbers say that he is the Reds MVP, coupled with his overall presence in the clubhouse, and just being in the lineup. He is the dominant element on this team, as far as I can see (of course Dunn is a rising star).

re:
Dunn however....Dunn is Fool's Gold. Anyone who has followed Dunn from the outset saw his ice cold August and September coming. The pattern with Dunn has been any hot streak is followed by a cold streak of at least equal length and usually more intense than the hot streak......
It's not hard to find a left fielder to do something positive offensively and nothing else. There are guys in this organization who could handle left field and/or they could obtain someone elsewhere - in either case, they'll pay a fraction of the 7-10 million Dunn would get next year - saving that $$$ for pitching. With any luck and any general managerial smarts, Dunn will be traded in the off season.
